Tetsubachi

The Tetsubachi is the most popular of all Japanese water basins and has very attractive proportions reminiscent of Japanese 'Iron pots' from where it gets it's name.
Hand carved from solid granite.
The small vertical height is deliberate, as traditionally in Japanese Tea ceremonies, one would enter the garden, crouch down and humble oneself when washing or drinking the water.
